First Ballyeaston Presbyterian
SUNDAY MORNING SERVICES
At the end of December the Kirk Session of First Ballyeaston decided to suspend
public worship services in our Church building during the current six-week
lockdown period. This decision was not required by Government, but was made by
the Kirk Session believing it was the right thing to do to ensure the safety of
our members and community and to support the efforts being made to drive down
the disease incidence. All the major churches in Northern Ireland have
subsequently decided to do likewise.
During this lockdown our Sunday morning services will be on-line and
live-streamed from our Church, with only those taking part being present in the
Church building. Our next public service in Church is scheduled to be
on Sunday 7 February 2021, but we will keep this under review in light of
Zoom Sunday School continues each Sunday morning at 10.30 am.
Rev McDowell has commenced a new series of mid-week reflections based on the
Psalms. These are available from 7.00pm each Wednesday evening and can be
accessed via the link to the right of this page.
OTHER CHURCH ORGANISATIONS
Unfortunately our other church organisations are unable to meet as normal due to
the Coronavirus restrictions. So, for the time being, there will be no Bible
Class, Youth Fellowship, GB, BB, PW or Bowling Club. These activities will
resume as soon as it is deemed safe to do so.
At this difficult time, we are especially grateful for members' support for the
Church's work. If you are able to contribute to the work of the Church, you can
do so by taking out a Standing Order in favour of the Church, or by posting your
contributions to our Treasurer, Joe Bingham. Details are in the Church Bulletin.
